Some Changelog Info!
To better protect our admin team and members alike, I (Fade) have decided to implement a Changelog to better record our corrections and discussions so admins may link directly to this to show members that things have been fixed and discussed!
The Changelog will update every Friday as that is when Fade is most available to make changes and answer group notes. That is also the day that we check the Suggestion Box on the website!
How Can I Make a Suggestion/ Update Request?
There are currently Three Ways to make a suggestion for group betterment or to show a correction that needs to be made. They are listed in order of EFFICIENCY. The fastest way to contact the team is listed first.
- NOTE THE GROUP – The Group is not leaving DeviantART at this time and this is the best way for us to keep tabs on member suggestions and edits. If you post a Question in the Discord Chat you may be asked to send that question in to the group so it may be reviewed. It’s conclusion will be posted here and you will be tagged with a link to the changelog at that time.
- LEAVE A WEBSITE SUGGESTION – The Website Suggestion Box is anonymous to members and will be kept that way. You will not receive a tag telling you that the suggestion/ change has been made.
- LEAVE A DISCORD QUESTION OR SUGGESTION – You may ask a group related question in the #Questions channel on Discord, or leave a suggestion in the #Suggestion-Box channel. PLEASE NOTE: We have a “Don’t Block The Box” policy in the Discord Chat and most times, the suggestions will be left with no answer. Discussion is discouraged in that channel; please move discussion to the General Chat areas. Suggestions made on Discord are not anonymous and you will be tagged with a link to the changelog when they have been resolved.
July 2020 Changes
Friday July 3rd
- Changelog record for July started.
- Edit permissions given to Renaakaii and Baylili00. Posts by these admins will be signed with MF:R and MF:B respectively.
- Stat Tracker Guide & Requirements was updated with clarifications. Please check out the page for more info. – MF:R
- All confirmed points on a stat tracker need to be inserted into the tracker in chronological order, so that it separates the art, items, or literature almost into sections. EXAMPLE TRACKER: 1230 AMARO.
- Clarifed that the “stat value must be listed in front of artwork link” rule for Stat Trackers does not have to apply to spreadsheet trackers as long as the link and the stat value are in separate columns.
- “Just wanting to confirm this before I spend a long time redoing all my ballator stat trackers. Is the auto tracker template kaons originally created no longer a valid way of tracking stats?….I know auto trackers are still acceptable, the layout of the template that was provided to members for use is not from what I can tell able to follow the layout requirements set forth. - Clarified that all sections within a stat tracker must be kept in chronological order.
- Clarified that the rankup comment thread, NOT the plaque comment, should be linked for confirmed points in the tracker. This will be enforced for all confirmations post July 1st, 2020.
- Clarification made for Foal Prompts that all Foal Prompts must be done by the owner of the horse (at the time of the stat confirmation), in order to unlock inherited stats. – MF:R
- Updated stat confirmation comments on plaques to start including link to confirmation thread. –MF:B

For example comments for items and companions on plaques, the link to the comment where the item was added is also in the comment. So a link to the original stat confirmation comment on the plaque comment along with the new rank stats. This would be helpful particularly when a horse is sold and their old tracker is deleted so the new owner doesn’t know when the old confirmation was and has to search back through the old DA comment chain to find it because the owner could just grab the proof from the plaque” – Flinty

Friday July 10th
- Auttaja (bot) was added to the discord server. –MF:B
- It will be utilized for various NPC interactions, possible mini events, and aid in the running of the server. This bot is admin use only unless specified otherwise.
- #rules-and-regulations channel was updated with the rules for the newer channels and Auttaja. Clarifications were made to older rules as well. –MF:B
Friday July 17th
- Website FAQ was updated to include Discord and Auttaja Questions. –MF:B
- Decision not to create a roll or use @/everyone whenever an announcement is made. –MF:B

- Members may change their notifcation settings for the #news-room channel to be notified whenever an announcement may be made. A reminder that the newsletter is posted on the first of every month on the front page of the website, so if a member is not getting the news from the Discord, they should check the website once a month. It is a member’s responsibility to make sure that they are checking the #news-room for all important announcements.

Friday July 24th
- Additions and Clarifications made to the Stat Tracker Guide & Requirements –MF:B
- Clarified what Chronological means; this means chronological by confirmation, moreso than dates; i.e, a piece of art that was already confirmed in a past rankup should not be mixed into a section of art that has not been confirmed yet.
- Updated the accepted tracker section “Google Sites” to “Websites”. Section now allows Weebly sites as well as Google sites for trackers.
- Added a reminder that group official art may not be posted off of the website; the only group artwork allowed to be placed on trackers or any other personal EB pages at this time are the Stat Sheilds and Hunting Badges.

- Hi EquusBallators! I’ve hit quite a bumb in the road to returning to the group…
Since the bot Auttaja has been introduced on the discord to send updates and other information I haven’t been able to catch up with the changes happening in the group. I thought it might be normal to not be able to view the messages, but as time as gone I knew something must be up. –Jamjamem (Deviantart) | x- Due to the fact that Auttuja uses embeds, in order to see the messages from the bot, users must have link preview on in their user settings.
