Bestiarius, the Hunter

If learning how to easily hunt and dispatch prey is what you seek, then becoming an Bestarius is the perfect option. As you learn to become an Bestarius Master, you should take care in the paths you choose and plan ahead. If you fail to keep your nose on the right trail, you may find yourself lost.

A Bestiarius is best equipped with the following stats:

  • Experience
  • Intelligence
  • Stamina

Level One

 
  • What was the first time your ballator ever hunted? What were they hunting? Did they have any help or were they on their own?
    • Requirements: 5 stats
    • This prompt can double as a hunt but must follow the rules of the hunting system.
 
  • Yor ballator grows hungry. What is it they choose to hunt? Do they prefer plants or something with more meat to it?
    • Requirements: 4 stats.
 
  • Just as your ballator was going to get their meal, another ballator swoops in and steals it. While angry about their stolen food, your ballator stops and thinks about this newcomer. Did they do something surprising? Was the way they caught the thing something your ballator aspires to do or was it dreadful and something to avoid?
    • Requirements: 4 stats. A Group Horse or Bestiarius Master must be depicted.
 
  • Upset and maybe even inspired by the other ballator, your ballator sets off on another hunt, but this time for something large and dangerous. This creature might be a bit more than your ballator can handle, but they will sure try anyways!
    • Requirements: 5 stats
    • This prompt can double as a hunt but must follow the rules of the hunting system.
 
 
  • For this lesson, your Ballator must have completed 5 hunts.

Prizes for Completing Level One:
  • One of the following: 1x White Gold or 1x Phosphorus.
  • One of the following: 1x herbs or 1x small animal pelt
  • Keen Eyes
    •  20% chance of failure

Level Two

 
  • After hunting that large dangerous creature, your ballator is left beaten. Did they learn anything from that experience? Do they get back up and try again? Are they doubting their ability to become a Bestarius? Do they wish they had a teacher?
    • Requirements: 4 stats. Minimum 100 word story for visual entries.
 
  • In this beaten state, another ballator finds them. They appear to be knowledgeable in being a Bestarius. Do you take them up on their offer or do you think you’re better on your own? Have you met them before or are they a complete stranger?
    • Requirements: 4 stats. A Group Horse or Bestiarius Master must be depicted.
 
  • Whether you like it or not, this ballator is here to stay as your teacher. They explain to you that hunting is more than just about finding a thing and chasing it; you need to hone your insticts. They wrap something around your eyes and send you off to hunt something. Your ballator can bring back anything as long as they bring back something. What did they find?
    • Requirements: 4 stats.
    • This prompt can double as a hunt but must follow the rules of the hunting system.
 
  • This teacher seems to have some ideas of special locations that you have never seen before. They tell you that in order to become a better hunter you must face the unknown. Draw or write your Ballator hunting in either The Deadwoods or The Enchanted Forest.
    • Requirements: 5 stats. 
    • This prompt can double as a hunt but must follow the rules of the hunting system.
 
  • For this prompt, your Ballator will be tested on their knowledge of hunting. They will be given 3 questions they must answer. You must pass this test of knowledge to be considered a Bestarius.

Level Three

 
  • Afterall this time, your ballator has gone on many hunts. Recount a memorable hunt. Was it one where you completely failed? Did you finally hunt down a hard to beat foe? Did you get them in an interesting way?
    • Requirements: 4 stats
    • This prompt can double as a hunt but must follow the rules of the hunting system.
 
  • Sometimes your instincts fail you in the midst of a hunt. What was a time that they failed you? How were you able to get back up from that failure? Have you honed your instincts since then?
    • Requirements: 5 stats. Minimal 100 word story for visual entries.
 
  • Your teacher acknowledges that you have come far, but you must prove yourself. They challenge you to go on a hunt with them. Whoever takes down the creature first, wins. This is your chance to prove your hunting ability.
    • Requirements: 5 stats. A Group Horse or Bestiarius Master must be depicted.
    • This prompt can double as a hunt but must follow the rules of the hunting system.
 
  • You are one step closer to becoming a Bestarius master, but there is one last thing you must do in order to prove yourself. Your ballator must hunt down one of the Ancient Kings in Regale’s Glade.
    • Requirements: 5 stats

Bestiarius Mastery - Choose Your Specialty

It’s been a long tiring process and youre finally near the end. There’s just one last step you need to take before you’re considered a Master. 
Do you choose to go the route of light and follow in the paths of righteousness, using your hunting skills to aid others?
Or do you choose to go the route of darkness and follow in the path of injustice, watching out only for yourself?

Bonum

To choose the path of light your ballator  is choosing to place their faith in Aether and Tyndariai. To demonstrate this, your ballator must craft a Badge of Light. To craft it, you will need the following:

  • 1x White Gold
  • 1x Herbs
  • 1x Elder Wood
  • 1x Looking Lily Seeds
  • 1x Topaz
  • 1x Large Albino Pelt

Use this form to turn these items to craft a Badge of Light and officially become an Andabata Bonum Master.

As an Andabata Bonum Master your ballator will get the bonus from Andabta Level 3 as well as:

  • Quick Feet
    • Guaranteed additional hunt item (possibility of 4 total items brought back)

Malum

To choose the path of darkness your ballator  is choosing to place their faith in Hannibal and Ares. To demonstrate this, your ballator must craft a Badge of Darkness. To craft it, you will need the following:

  • 1x Phosphorus
  • 1x Small Animal Pelt
  • 1x Ivy Wood
  • 1x Dreadwolf Claw
  • 1x Ruby
  • 1x Large Melanistic Pelt

Use this form to turn these items to craft a Badge of Darkness and officially become an Andabata Malum Master.

As an Andabata Malum Master your ballator will get the bonus from Andabta Level 3 as well as:

  • Killing Blow
    • Guaranteed animal drop
