Andabata, the Priest

If learning how to communicate with the Gods is what you seek, then becoming an Andabata is the perfect option. As you learn to become an Andabata Master, you should take care in the paths you choose and plan ahead. If you’re too narrow minded, you may find yourself stuck.

An Andabata is best equipped with the following stats:

  • Dressage
  • Intelligence
  • Stamina

Level One

 
  • Your Ballator must travel to the Temple of the Three to begin their journey. What is it like traveling to there? Is it very far away from where they live? What do they think about?
    • Requirements: 5 stats
 
  • As you are making your way to the Temple of Three, you come across some travelers who seem to need some help. Do you offer aid or do you continue on your quest?
    • Requirements: 4 stats.
 
  • After having dealt with the travelers, you come across a ballator preaching about the God you most closely follow. Do you agree with what they are saying? Can you learn anything from how they are teaching others about your God? Are they an example of what you don’t want to be?
    • Reuirements: 4 stats. A Group Horse or Andabata Master must be depicted.
 
  • Your ballator has finally made it to the Temple of Three. What altar do they choose to go to? Is the highlord they most closely follow not there? How do they show their respects? If their God’s altar is not there, do they choose to make an offering t the Wayfarer hoard to show them the gifts that their god could give or do they offer to another god?
    • Requirements: 5 stats
 
 
  • For this prompt, your Ballator must make an offering to the God in which they most closely follow. Please create a thread in the Cursus Honorum forum using THIS form. State which God you are offering to and what you are offering them.

Level Two

 
  • Your Ballator is approached by a hooded figure as they finish giving their offering. This figure asks your Ballator who it is they believe in and why. How does your ballator respond?
    • Requirements: 4 stats
 
  • After your explanation, the hooded figure seems curious. They tell you that they can teach you the ways of speaking to the Gods directly but you have to follow their lead. Do you accept their offer and follow them blindly or do you demand that they explain themself?
    • Requirements: 4 stats. A Group Horse or Andabata Master must be depicted.
 
 
  • In order to become an Andabata master, you must devote yourself to learning to speak with one god. By not doing so, you will be unable to fully speak with any god. What god shall you choose to devote yourself to? Is it the one you made an offering to or perhaps you decided to choose a different one?
    • Requirements:  4 stats
  • This new teacher of yours explains to truly speak with the gods, you need to align with their beliefs. What piece of yourself fits into their beliefs? Do you sport their gifts? 
    • Requirements: 4 stats. Minimum 100 word story for visual entries
 
  • Your teacher seems to believe in what you say, but they seem hesitant. They explain that not only do you need to walk in the ways of your gods, but you also need to know everything about them. Your ballator will be given 3 questions to answer. You must pass this test of knowledge to be considered an Andabata.

Prizes for Completing Level Two:
  • Two of the following: 1x Ash Wood, 1x Hazel Wood, 1x Ivy Wood, 1x Elder Wood
  • Healing Spirit
    • Heals 5% of herd health

Level Three

 
  • After successfully passing the test, your ballator must leave the temple and find the sacred land of the god they have chosen. However, a storm is rolling in. Does your ballator get stuck in this storm? What does it mean for the travels?
    • Requirements: 4 stats
 
  • As the storm rages on, you find yourself questioning this journey. Perhaps this teacher you found was wrong. Was there a time that made you completely doubt your beliefs in this god you chose to follow? How were you able to escape those doubts? Do you think you will have doubts?
    • Requirements: 5 stats. Minimum 100 word story for visual entries.
 
  • As the sacred land of the ballator comes into view, the storm suddenly dissapates. There by the entrance to the land, is your teacher. Your teacher explains that before entering this land, you must speak to the god and ask for permission to enter. Your teacher invites you over to their side. How do you decide to speak to your god?
    • Requirements: 4 stats. A Group Horse or Andabata Master must be depicted
 
  • Your ballator suddenly notices that an entrance has been made for them to enter the land. Their teacher wishes them well, letting them know that this is the last part of their journey in becoming an Andabata Master and they must do it alone. 
    Once they enter the land,what do they see? Is it what they imagined? Do they meet their god?
    • Requirements: 5 stats. The sacred land must be representative of that of the gods.

  • For this prompt, your Ballator must make an offering to the God of this sacred land. It can NOT be a small offering and it can NOT be the same thing you offered previously. Andabata Mastery - Choose Your Specialty

It’s been a long tiring process and youre finally near the end. There’s just one last step you need to take before you’re considered a Master. 
Do you choose to go the route of light and follow in the paths of righteousness, giving yourself up for others?
Or do you choose to go the route of darkness and follow in the path of injustice, following only yourself and those like you?

Bonum

To choose the path of light your ballator  is choosing to place their faith in Aether and Ares. To demonstrate this, your ballator must craft a Badge of Light. To craft it, you will need the following:

  • 1x White Gold
  • 1x Antimony
  • 1x Ash Wood
  • 1x Hazel Wood
  • 1x Diamond
  • 1x Pearl

Use this form to turn these items to craft a Badge of Light and officially become an Andabata Bonum Master.

As an Andabata Bonum Master your ballator will get the bonus from Andabta Level 3 as well as:

  • Divine Intervention
    • Healing effectiveness is 1.5x for land healing
    • Heals 15% of lost herd health

Malum

To choose the path of darkness your ballator  is choosing to place their faith in Hannibal and Tyndariai. To demonstrate this, your ballator must craft a Badge of Darkness. To craft it, you will need the following:

  • 1x Phosphorus
  • 1x Tin
  • 1x Ivy Wood
  • 1x Elder Wood
  • 1x Sapphire
  • 1x Amethyst

Use this form to turn these items to craft a Badge of Darkness and officially become an Andabata Malum Master.

As an Andabata Malum Master your ballator will get the bonus from Andabta Level 3 as well as:

  • Divine Retribution
    • Can damage land of rivals
    • 15% increased damage in fights
