June 2020 Monthly Quest

 Troubadour’s Tapas: Amused, Ares has allowed Puck to turn Troubadour’s Trinkets into the best– and only– cafe in The Enchanted Forest. Puck has arranged mismatched tables and poufs around his cart and Ares’ familiars stalk between them taking orders. The Highlordess herself is reclined close to the cart where she can watch all who approach Puck with a discerning eye.

– Draw or Write your Ballator enjoying a semi-tense brunch under The Highlordess’ Gaze.
– There is a 7 stat minimum for this prompt. Highlordess Ares must be depicted.
– Depicting Phobos & Deimos as servers will grant you an extra 50 Denarii.

Battle for Her Affections: Ultima, Ares’ Wild, is loose in The Enchanted Forest. The little mare considers herself Ares’ favorite and has issued a challenge– loudly– that no Ballator can best her in battle because Ares will not allow it. Ares seems pleased by the chaos that Ultima’s grandstanding has caused and urges all Ballators– regardless of size and type– to take on the mare in a one on one skirmish.

– Draw or Write ONE of your Ballators battling Ultima.
– All entries must follow the rules in the The Wild Ballator Guide if you would also like this entry to qualify as a capture attempt.
– If the Wild has been caught, you can still draw your Ballator interacting with Ultima.

Heatwave Hunting: Summer can be brutal… as brutal as The Highlordess that claims the season for her own. Ares is proud of the Ballators’ drive to hunt and encourages it, especially in her devotees. The Enchanted Forest does not normally experience the radiant heat of summer and the burst of it brought forth by The Highlordess has awoken many new animals within it. Hunting these creatures might give your Ballator a chance to get some unique drops only available in The Forest– what do those drops do? Perhaps we’ll find out soon!

– Draw or Write your Ballator hunting any of the prey animals depicted in The Enchanted Forest.
– To be rolled as a hunt, you must make sure you follow the guidelines set out in The Hunting System.

 Summertime Sins: Over the sounds of The Forest and Puck yelling out brunch orders in various accents, your Ballator hears a soft plea– “Highlordess… something has blocked our way to The Crypts and now we have this-“ Your Ballator whips around quickly, eager to see what Ares’ Hunter could have found, but the Highlordess’ has risen to her hooves and blocks their gaze. Mostly. Your Ballator catches a glimpse of two of Ares’ Hunters, one of which seems sickly and injured, it’s eyes glowing an eerie red and crystal like growths growing around its horns. Before your Ballator can get a good look, the Hunters and Ares disappear in a blaze of The Highlordess’ fire.

– Draw or Write your Ballator eavesdropping on the conversation and spying on the injured Hunter.
– There is a 7 stat minimum for this prompt.
