February 2022 Changelog

Some Changelog Info!

To better protect our admin team and members alike, the Coordinators have decided to implement a Changelog to better record our corrections and discussions so admins may link directly to this to show members that things have been fixed and discussed!

The Changelog will update every Saturday as that is when they are most available to make changes and answer group notes. That is also the day that we check the Suggestion Box on the website!

How Can I Make a Suggestion/ Update Request?

There are currently Three Ways to make a suggestion for group betterment or to show a correction that needs to be made. They are listed in order of EFFICIENCY. The fastest way to contact the team is listed first.

  • NOTE THE GROUP – The Group is not leaving DeviantART at this time and this is the best way for us to keep tabs on member suggestions and edits. If you post a Question in the Discord Chat you may be asked to send that question in to the group so it may be reviewed. It’s conclusion will be posted here and you will be tagged with a link to the changelog at that time.
  • LEAVE A WEBSITE SUGGESTION – The Website Suggestion Box is anonymous to members and will be kept that way. You will not receive a tag telling you that the suggestion/ change has been made.
  • LEAVE A DISCORD QUESTION OR SUGGESTION – You may ask a group related question in the #Questions channel on Discord, or leave a suggestion in the #Suggestion-Box channel. PLEASE NOTE: We have a “Don’t Block The Box” policy in the Discord Chat and most times, the suggestions will be left with no answer. Discussion is discouraged in that channel; please move discussion to the General Chat areas. Suggestions made on Discord are not anonymous and you will be tagged with a link to the changelog when they have been resolved.

  • Suggestion for a Vent Chat. [B]
    • “I know some of us have really tough or bad day, and we need to get things off our chests, so maybe we can have a vent chat where we can let loose in there instead of the main chat?”  magicfox3#1698 | X
    • The team will not create a vent chat as we believe rather than creating a safe place for someone to talk about their day, it will become a place difficult to monitor and something that will cause others to become uncomfortable with being in the discord server.
    • Just a reminder while many of us are adults, there are still members who are young and shouldn’t read some of the things people vent about. Regardless of person, our server is a safe place for people to escape every day life and to bond over our love of pixel horses. We ask that members be mindful of the topics they are discussing and how in detail they are discussing things that may be sensitive to others. Please take these kind of conversations to DMs or elsewhere. Thank you for your understanding.
  • Suggestion to allow a Chimera’s horns to be independent based on their coats.
    • Suggested by TheYeenQueen/Ground-Zero1#7388
    • The team believes that this will be something to create truly unique character designs, however, before we can officially say this is something we can do, we need to make a guide detailing how you can go about doing this. Until that guide is made and an official anouncement describing this change is made, chimera hornsets must match placement across sides. There is potenitial that as we look into this further, it may overcomplicate things in ways that are not worth it.
    • For clarification, the scenario is you can have one horn on a cheek and not on the other one if the other side is expressing the other coat.

  • Suggestion for condensing the organization of the forums to easier see things at a glance. [B]
    • “What of potentially, on the forums page, having drop downs of sorts for each section so it would be easier to scan through the main tags (ie, breeding and design, group activities etc) so it wouldn’t be as much scrolling? the boxes listed under each category I think the amount of text listed with each of the squares is daunting when you’re trying to find one specific thing and then scrolling through a lot of stuff . But I think if theres the drop downs it could look more organized and lots of less scrolling/distraction?” – Michati#6907 (Discord) | X
    • We have a current work in progress for condensing the UI. If you look at themes and choose the one called “Fractures” that gives an idea of how things are being condensed. Currently none of the color or anything has been fixed, but the format is about what it’ll be once the theme is finished.
While we are working on this theme, we will not focus on another formatting idea, however we will table this for the future in case we feel there is more need.
  • Suggestion for our limits on certain activities.
    • “perhaps when you open things like breedings/ designs limit people to 1 submission per week or 2 per month or something so people can get the ball rolling without swamping yall all over again. I personally think the old limits were a little too high for you guys will how high the member number got, it may have been fine once but there is a big diffrence between 2-3 hundred players dropping 5 designs on ya as opposed to 2k doing that ❤️

besides that you are loved and appreciated staff ❤️” – Skaaris_Legacy#0419 | X

    • Before Hiatus, the limits were 3 breedings a month and 3 designs a week which normally did not overload the system as long as people weren’t submitting at the same time. When we open we will decide based on the number of members active, estimated number of inactive members who will come back, and our current admin capacity of what is the best limits for everyone. It is difficult to tell at this time what that will be. We appreciate the thought nonetheless.
  • Work on putting together a cohesive roadmap.
    • This roadmap will state what we are working on in no particular order or significance.
