Member Feedback: Roleplays

Hello all! The admin team has been discussing some updates to the systems before we reopen them (soon!) and we would love member feedback! We will be posting a series of discussion threads as we do this and encourage all members to post on these threads for ease of review. Discussion of these changes out of their threads may be missed-- so please keep them in the proper threads if you can!

Our third subject is: Roleplays!

We are trying to make a RP guide. As of right now RPs are counted based upon how much you write for your character and in order to get extra character bonuses you must write a character participating in your writing (not your character reacting to that character). Does this make sense? Does this seem fair? 
(The reason why RPs became how much you write is because you could RP with someone who only wrote 2 stats worth while you wrote 8 stats worth, but they would get all the benefits of you writing so much without them doing any of the work.)
How do you like to RP? What are some RP Do's and Don'ts in your books? How do you handle including NPCs in your RPs? How would you like to see RP incorporated into EBs?

I think the role-play system stat wise works great- everyone is rewarded for what they put in while not being pressured to match word count exactly.

The idea of Rps being incorporated into EBs is exciting to me- perhaps it can be done through pledging/herd initiatives? Maybe start the forum with a prompt (hunting, spying, or trying to convert new members) to encourage the guild-like atmosphere. Maybe each herd thread initiative completed is rewarded with 1+ EXP?
