Changelog for August 2020

Some Changelog Info!

To better protect our admin team and members alike, I (Fade) have decided to implement a Changelog to better record our corrections and discussions so admins may link directly to this to show members that things have been fixed and discussed!

The Changelog will update every Friday as that is when Fade is most available to make changes and answer group notes. That is also the day that we check the Suggestion Box on the website!

How Can I Make a Suggestion/ Update Request?

There are currently Three Ways to make a suggestion for group betterment or to show a correction that needs to be made. They are listed in order of EFFICIENCY. The fastest way to contact the team is listed first.

NOTE THE GROUP – The Group is not leaving DeviantART at this time and this is the best way for us to keep tabs on member suggestions and edits. If you post a Question in the Discord Chat you may be asked to send that question in to the group so it may be reviewed. It’s conclusion will be posted here and you will be tagged with a link to the changelog at that time.
LEAVE A WEBSITE SUGGESTION – The Website Suggestion Box is anonymous to members and will be kept that way. You will not receive a tag telling you that the suggestion/ change has been made.
LEAVE A DISCORD QUESTION OR SUGGESTION – You may ask a group related question in the #Questions channel on Discord, or leave a suggestion in the #Suggestion-Box channel. PLEASE NOTE: We have a “Don’t Block The Box” policy in the Discord Chat and most times, the suggestions will be left with no answer. Discussion is discouraged in that channel; please move discussion to the General Chat areas. Suggestions made on Discord are not anonymous and you will be tagged with a link to the changelog when they have been resolved.

August 2020 Changes

Friday August 7th

Changelog records started.
- Updated the template for all future Newsletters to include a link to archived Changelogs. Will start with the July 2020 post.
- Edit permissions given to Renaakaii and Baylili00. Posts by these admins will be signed with MF:R and MF:B respectively.
Decision to not create an item that allows the removal of a recessive trait passed on by a dominant parent. –MF:B

Added to current plan to continue to keep import request private once moved to the threads. –MF:B

Decision to not allow a user to claim Denarii instead of Highlord gift. –MF:B
- “Just a thought as I was looking through stat stuff earlier today, but for ballators are pledged to a specific highlord they may be unable to claim highlord/lowlord gifts because of that. For those ballators that are pledged to a highlord/lowlord not listed in stat rank system maybe offering denarii instead of the highlord gift could be an option (like what we currently do with breeding slots since we can choose to take the slot or 100 denarii)” –Dragonwarlordess#6074 (Discord) | X
  - As a clarification, Breeding Slot may NOT be exchanged for Denarii instead in the Stat System. The only system that has such an exchange is Regale’s Quests.
  - If a user does not wish to claim a certain item or gift, they may opt to not do so. To do this, they simply do not list it in their prize list.
Auttaja was not consistently giving new members the member roles when they gave the -agree command. It was found that Auttaja was below members in terms of role, but has now been moved up. New members should now consistently be given the member role if the use the command. –MF:B
Updated the Breeding Form from ” For items applied to breeding notes after their rolling (Geno Re-Rolls, Hornchangers, Etc.) please follow the form at the Denarii Hub.” to ” For items applied to breeding notes after their rolling (Extracts, Hornchangers, Skinchangers, etc.) please follow the form at the Denarii Hub.” since rerolls are applied within the breeding form. –MF:B
Chibi values added to the Stat Grid Section of the Stat System. –MF:B
- “Would chibi count the same as regular style for grids? I don’t see chibi as a point in the stat system anymore for grids, so I just want to make sure.” –Puk#6043 (Discord) | X
Clarifications and updates made to the Hunt System to make it easier to understand. –MF:B
- Further editing and clarifications will be made in the following weeks as Admins BrynLison, Fade, & Kalmanen continue to review the hunt page for information that may be confusing or unclear.

Friday August 14th

Added to current plan to add on to the emojis provided in the discord. When they will be created and implemented is unknown. –MF:B

  - The team would love to create more, but we currently do not have the manpower nor time to do so. There are most definitely plans for down the road to do!

Friday August 21st

Decision to not do a countdown timer for future closings at this time. However, in the future the team will be sure to provide the exact closing time, the timezone, and a resource for converting time zones. –MF:B

Decision to not make the mane mutation ticket a shop item available for purchase at any time. However, there is potential for it to be a future rare event item. –MF:B
- “I think it would be fun if the mane mutation ticket from regale’s quest became a shop item. It makes sense because it already exists as an item, and I think mane mutations have really moved past being a sort of major prize for the effort of Regale’s quest. It would be fun if we could claim them through getting a horse to legendary as well! :D” –MostlyFaraday#6850 | X
  - The mane mutation ticket is a special prize that the team would like to remain special. That is why we currently have no plans to make it purchasable.

Friday August 28st

Decision to not create more routes to get troubadours at this time. –MF:B
- “I’d love to see more routes to get troubadours 😮 They’re such a cool niche but they’re so rare :sob:” –MostlyFaraday#6850 | X
  - While the team understands that members would like to have easily accesible ways to gain troubadours, the intention of troubadours are for them to be a rare type. Opening up more routes would essentially defeat the purpose of troubadours being rare, special Equus Ballators. Alongside this, from a lore standpoint, it doesn’t make much sense for there to be a sudden influx of troubadours.
Updated the Regale’s Quest page. –MF:B
- Made adjustments to Level 4, Prompt 1 – Competitor to fit within the new hunting guidelines.
- Updated links to link to website pages.
Updated Hunting page to clarify that hunting trackers are forum based now. –MF:B
Added a Notes and Troubleshooting forum under Member Resources & Guides to allow users to utilize this instead of having to go on DA to note the group. –MF:B
Updated the registration form to let users know that if they are wanting to change accounts/account names to discuss this issue in the Notes and Troubleshooting forum so that change may be easily made for them. –MF:B
